Lunchroom

We know distraction in the workplace will always hinder productivity.

Things like constant meetings, office environment, smartphones and their constant notifications, etc.

But you know what else?

The premises themselves.

This is, how healthy and wellness-bound the place is. For example, if the lunchroom does not invite staff to have their meal there because of filthiness or noise or being hot, and so on.

If staff has a hard time enjoying their food, the likelihood of being unproductive is high.

So, check your place. Do/Would you have your meals in there? Are your tools and equipment easy to use? Are the surroundings walkable? Is a pleasant park nearby? A gym? Cafes?

Recognizing and focusing on these issues helps improve productivity and creates a more efficient work environment.
